SABELA :Hello! We are Andrea, Miriam and Sabela and will talk about Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by the British author JK Rowling, in which the adventures of the young boy wizard Harry Potter and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are described, during the seven years he spent at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry .
ANDREA : The plot centers on the struggle between Harry Potter and the evil wizard Lord Voldemort , who killed Harry’s parents in his quest to conquer the wizarding world.
Since the release of the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 1997 , the series achieved immense popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success worldwide. By December 2007 , it had sold over 400 million copies of the seven books , 2 of which have been translated into more than 65 languages
MIRIAM : In 1999, film producer Warner Bros. acquired the rights to adapt the seven books to a series of movies, which concluded on 14 July 2011 and made eight films since the seventh was divided into two parts resulting in the most successful franchise in film history .
SABELA : Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the first book of the Harry Potter saga . It was published by Bloomsbury Publishing in July 2000 . The Spanish version has 254 pages , being the shortest book in the series . It has been translated into more than 60 languages and is one of the best selling books ever.
ANDREA : Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the series . It was originally published in 1998 by Bloomsbury Publishing . The Castilian edition has 286 pages.
